Health Education Section - I need your help in inviting speakers for our Health Education Breakout Sessions at next year's AEC.  The theme of the 2015 AEC is 'Optimizing Health Through Partnerships."  TPHA has adopted a new procedure for selecting speakers for the Breakout Sessions.  Instead of inviting specific speakers to address certain health education topics, speakers are now selected by abstracts submitted for review, on the topic chosen by the speaker.

Please review the Call for Abstracts, the 2nd button on the TPHA home page, www.texaspha.org.  Please send an invitation to present, along with the link to this document, to persons in your organization, in your community, or other persons you know to have an interesting, educational perspective on Health Education, who might be interested in presenting at the 2015 AEC.   Copy me on that email, dflaniken@comcast.net, so I am aware of the various persons invited to present, as

I want to add to the database of presenters I have used in the past.

I will be sending the Call for Abstracts to the Regional Directors and Deputy Regional Directors of each of the 11 Texas Health Regions, the Directors of each of the Local Health Departments, as well as, the Directors of the Texas Health Facilities and the Texas Center for Infectious Disease.  I will also send to the Deans of Texas Schools of Public Health, the Area Health Education Centers of Texas, and other organizations involved with Texas Health Education.

If any of these are on your invitation list, don't worry about duplication.  We want each of these organizations to be more involved, and the more we inform them of our activities, and get them involved in participating in TPHA activities, the better.

Thank for your help with this. I know you are very aware of the health education needs in each of your areas, and your involvement will help us address those needs at AEC.
